October has been quite the month for us!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hanna Wellness Center participated in Mission Hospital Valiant Women’s THINK PINK Wall of Honor Event at the Mission Viejo Country Club.
During October, Mission Hospital Valiant Women partnered with The Shops at Mission Viejo to host the "THINK PINK" Breast Health Wall of Honor. This event encourages the community to honor breast cancer patients and survivors through a beautiful collection of tributes displayed on the Wall of Honor, located on the Lower Level of The Shops at Mission Viejo, near Nordstrom.
With the generosity of the community and donors, net proceeds support Mission Breast Health Services at Mission Hospital and fund screening mammograms, diagnostic procedures to under or uninsured women in our community and provide funds to Breast Health Programs.Dr. Wendy at the Hanna Wellness Table
We also have 2 new massage therapists, Geoff and Michelle S.
Geoff is currently a massage student studying at National Holistic Institute. Geoff was a former elementary school teacher who transitioned into massage therapy when he was injured and in pain. He started to learn about the human body and learned how to increase his range of motion and decrease his pain. After that, he decided healing people is what he wanted to do, so he enrolled in massage school and has been on the path to healing others. Geoff’s passion is therapeutic massage – focusing on healing old and new injuries as well as increasing range of motion to his patients.
Michelle has been a massage therapist for 5 years and her love for massage therapy began, while Michelle was completing humanitarian work in Vietnam and Cambodia. This opened a whole new world to her. The pain and soreness from working 15 hour days in extreme weather was eased if not eliminated by the regular massages. Upon returning to the United States, she quickly investigated and enrolled in Anthem College.
After completing 625 hours of comprehensive course and hands on work, she has been actively in the field. Her passion for the art of massage has opened up many different areas of knowledge and she is constantly expanding that knowledge with further classes and skill sets.
